Claude Chamot decided to design a boot made out of natural rubber after hearing outdoor workers endlessly complain of uncomfortable, leaky boots. That was 1927, and Le Chameau – as the brand became known – has been refining and producing handmade boots where ‘each pair is hand crafted by an individual master boot maker’ in Normandy, France, ever since.
The range has grown to produce jersey, wool and neoprene inner linings such as the popular 3mm neoprene lined Vierzonord – the bestselling, hard wearing boot with a supportive soul unit. ‘A combination of artisan craftsmanship and the highest quality raw materials have together defined Le Chameau boot’. The Chasseur boot has a full zip & super-comfortable fully leather grained lining, this top-end classic is perfect all year round.
