Aigle of France rose to fame in 1853 as the first brand to use rubber as the core material in boot manufacture, meaning that farmers could return home from the fields with un-muddied, dry feet – a revelation at that time. The natural rubber mix ensures the boots remain waterproof, comfortable and supple. The rubber parts are brought together on an aluminium last before being volcanised at 140 degrees to give them their final shape. The boots are made entirely by hand by specialists in Ingrandes, France, and with over 150 years’ experience, you can rest assured that the product has been honed to provide the best quality we see today.
